Our patent-pending friction stir welding process minimizes burn hazards through reduced frictional heat and eliminates exposure to ultraviolet radiation generated by traditional arc welding technology. The absence of arc welding fumes means personnel are not subjected to heavy metal inhalation and no toxic heavy metals are released into the environment. The friction stir strip weld requires no metal removal or grinding before milling, which significantly reduces worker exposure to the leading cause of eye injury in the coiled tubing manufacturing environment.

These unique safety precautions prevent injury to equipment operators, diminish environmental impact and reduce expenditures by eliminating the need for costly PPE equipment.

Global Tubing is currently operating within International Standards Organization (ISO) guidelines and it is our intent and plan to be fully ISO certified during 2009.
